On June 20, 2025, a bilateral working meeting took place at the Technology and Innovation Park of Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice between Professor Vitalii Diachek, Dean of the School of Economics at V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University, and RNDr. Andrej Miroššay, PhD, Director of TIP UPJŠ. During the visit, Professor Diachek was introduced to the structure and mission of TIP UPJŠ as a key component of the university’s research and innovation infrastructure, with a strategic focus on promoting research, technology transfer, and cooperation with industry partners. Particular attention was also given to selected departments of the UPJŠ Faculty of Medicine, especially the Institute of Pharmacology, and their involvement in applied research and innovation-driven projects.
The meeting was conducted in an open and constructive atmosphere, aiming to identify common interests and opportunities for collaboration in academic mobility, joint research initiatives, entrepreneurship support, and the development of shared platforms between the School of Economics and TIP UPJŠ. As an outcome of the meeting, both parties agreed to prepare a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) outlining the framework for future cooperation, focusing on student and staff exchange, joint research projects, knowledge sharing, and innovation support. Additional concrete steps were also agreed upon to proceed with the formalization of the MoU and the implementation of initial collaborative activities.
