Grade Up conference – Support of the entrepreneurial and innovative potential of students
On November 13, on the occasion of the official presentation of the national project Support of the entrepreneurial and innovative potential of students, the Grade Up conference was held at the Technical University of Košice, organized by the Ministry of Education, Research, Development and Youth of the Slovak Republic under the auspices of the President of the Slovak Republic, Peter Pellegrini.
Technology and Innovation Park TIP-UPJŠ, together with the Faculty of Law UPJŠ in Košice, actively participated in the GradeUp 2025 conference. At the same time, it was communicated at the event that the UPJŠ Faculty of Law and TIP-UPJŠ will be the main developers of this national project and will implement it within the Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice. This fact further underlines the importance of the UPJŠ mandate in the development of entrepreneurship, innovation and talent at the national level.
Individual panels discussed innovations, startups and modern higher education, which brings opportunities for active connections with business. The Director of TIP-UPJŠ, RNDr. Andrej Mirossay, PhD., discussed in a panel discussion the topic “Where Innovations Are Born – University Science Parks as a Launchpad for Entrepreneurship”, and at the same time presented the importance of university science parks in supporting innovations, technology transfer and the development of startups.
TIP-UPJŠ also presented its activities and cooperation opportunities in the form of an information stand during the Night of Entrepreneurship at UVP Technicom.
Experts from the business sector, universities, innovation centers and startups presented inspiring projects and visions that connect business, education and technological innovation. The event brought many inspiring ideas and discussions on how universities, science parks and the private sector can effectively cooperate to create innovative solutions.
We thank the organizers for the great opportunity and all participants for sharing their experiences.
