SlovakiaTech is a place where science, industry and the public sector meet – and that is exactly the mission of TIP-UPJŠ. As a center of excellent research and technology transfer, we presented our top research centers:
One of the main points of our presentation was the new strategic project APBC – Advanced Protein Biotechnology Consortium, which connects partners from Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Germany, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom, led by Prof. RNDr. Erik Sedlák, DrSc.
Its goal is:
• development of protein biotechnology,
• support for the creation of spin-off companies,
• attraction of talents,
• and building new research capacities, including the Center for Mass Photometry in Košice.
Key partners include:
UPJŠ, IEP SAV, INSAS SAV, FNUSA Brno, University of Bayreuth, University of Oxford, University of Groningen, JUHAPHARM, Enantis.
We also presented to the visitors the project of a 2-month research expedition to Antarctica led by Assoc. Prof. RNDr. Michal Goga, PhD. where, in addition to his research on mosses and lichens, he will test the products of our partners – functional superfoods from RISTRE®, functional clothing and a sleeping bag from CARINTHIA up to -30°C, the mobile siren Pavian Car with an acoustic range of 500 meters and a safety beacon from Telegrafia – Warning Systems!
TIP-UPJŠ brought to SlovakiaTech examples of innovative research, new technologies and concrete opportunities for cooperation with industry, startups and institutions.
We thank the organizers for the excellently organized event and look forward to further joint activities.
The motto of this year’s event was: “The World is at a Crossroads”.
And we are proud to be able to actively contribute to these solutions. At TIP-UPJŠ, we are proud to be able to actively contribute to these searches for possible answers to the “crossroads challenges of the world” – in the fields of science and research, innovation, business and technology.
