All-hands meeting TIP UPJŠ: How to bring research closer to practice

1minút, 21sekúnd

Transfer of innovations and effective linking of the academic environment with the needs of practice were the main topics of the All-hands meeting TIP UPJŠ. The event brought together team members with the aim of discussing how university research can bring concrete value to partners, companies and society.

During the meeting, a cooperation model was presented, which is based on four key steps: identification of the partner’s real problem, use of scientific expertise and infrastructure, pilot verification of the solution in practice and creation of a usable output for further decision-making. An important element is the speed and efficiency of the process – the goal is to achieve a result within 90 days.

The discussion emphasized the importance of applied research that responds to the current needs of partners from practice. TIP UPJŠ focuses mainly on cooperation with B2B partners – companies that need to verify a product, technology, process or hypothesis and obtain relevant data for further development and decision-making.

The participants agreed that successful technology and innovation transfer requires not only high-quality science, but also open communication, sharing of experiences and multidisciplinary cooperation. It is precisely the linking of the university’s research potential with the needs of society that creates space for the emergence of solutions with a real impact.

The main messages of the meeting included three key ideas:

• let’s remain scientists,

• let’s think more about the customer’s problem,

• let’s look for solutions together.

The all-hands meeting also confirmed the ambition of TIP UPJŠ to continue building partnerships, supporting innovations and transferring scientific knowledge into practice so that university research brings the greatest possible social and economic benefit.
