0minút, 51sekúnd

Last week, the guest of the talk show “Bez Šepkára” was our researcher Assoc. Prof. Michal Goga from the Technology and Innovation Park UPJŠ and the Faculty of Sciences of the Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice. Together with other guests, among whom were also well-known personalities of cultural life, he talked about his recent two-month scientific expedition to Antarctica.

In the discussion, he not only described the research he was engaged in during his stay, but also the extreme conditions in which the team of scientists had to work. Antarctica is one of the most demanding environments in the world, and therefore everyday functioning requires a high level of preparation, resilience and cooperation.

Associate Professor Michal Goga also shared personal experiences and adventures that such an expedition brings. He emphasized the uniqueness of the experience, which goes beyond ordinary scientific practice and offers insight into the functioning of research in extreme conditions.

We thank Milan Kolcun for the invitation and creating a space for an inspiring discussion.
