Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice was successful in the call for support of students’ mental health. In the coming years, UNIPOC will implement the project “Support of Counselling and Mental Health of Students at UPJŠ in Košice”. The funds received in the amount of almost 550 000 € will be allocated to the development of counseling and support services, thanks to the call of the Ministry of Education, Research, Development and Youth of the Slovak Republic from the Slovakia Program and from the state budget.
The project will aim to provide counseling and education not only for students, but also for pedagogical and non-pedagogical employees of UPJŠ in Košice in the next three years.
It is planned to implement:
- counselling on an individual level for pedagogical and non-pedagogical employees of UPJŠ in Košice in the approach to students with specific and other needs.
- at the group level, training will be implemented for pedagogical and non-pedagogical employees of the university focused on the development of interpersonal and intrapersonal skills in order to improve communication and support for students.
