HOW TO GET STARTED WITH OSMOSIS:

Create a personal account. When registering, use the email address assigned to you by the university, i.e., ending in @upjs.sk or @student.upjs.sk.

– Once you have created a personal account, log in to Osmosis and edit your profile so that useful information is displayed in the service.

The OED traces the development of the English language over the last millennium. It is an unsurpassed guide to the meaning, etymology and pronunciation – using the International Phonetic Alphabet – of over 600,000 words. It provides examples of word usage in over 3 million phrases from across the full range of English usage, both geographically and thematically. There are 8 subject indexes. The OED also includes a Historical Thesaurus. The electronic form provides access to the contents of the 20-volume second edition (1989) and the three-volume series of supplements from 1993 and 1997.
