Cassovia New Industry Cluster (CNIC) signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Slovak-American company Tachyum s.r.o. on November 5, 2021 at the Technology and Innovation Park TIP-UPJŠ. The Memorandum of Understanding was signed on behalf of CNIC by the Chairman of the Board of CNIC, prof. RNDr. Pavol Miškovský, DrSc. and Tachyum s.r.o. co-founder and CEO, Ing. Radoslav Danilak, PhD. The meeting was also attended by Mgr. Roman Oros for CNIC and Róbert Cisár, Business Development Manager for Tachyum.
On October 28, 2021 a meeting of the Board of Directors of the Cassovia New Industry Cluster (CNIC) took place on the premises of the Technology and Innovation Park TIP-UPJŠ.
Assoc. Prof. Martin Kundrát, PhD. from the Center for Interdisciplinary Biosciences, TIP-UPJŠ managed to implement a project to find the remains of dinosaurs in Uzbekistan in more than two years in the period from September 22 to October 12, 2021 in cooperation with partners from the State Geological Museum in Tashkent. This project was also realized thanks to the support of the Embassy of the Slovak Republic in Tashkent and in cooperation with partners from the State Geological Museum in Tashkent.
Within the conference COINTT 2021 - Cooperation Innovation Technology Transfer, which took place on October 19-21, 2021 at the Faculty of Informatics and Information Technologies of the Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava, awards were presented - Technology Transfer Award in Slovakia 2021. The event was implemented within the national project National infrastructure for technology transfer support in Slovakia - NITT SK II.
On October 11, 2021, representatives of Tachyum, Cassovia New Industry Cluster (CNIC) and the Ministry of Education, Science, Research and Sports of the Slovak Republic met on the premises of TIP-UPJŠ.
At the beginning of October, the rector of UPJŠ in Košice, prof. SAFTRA photonics s.r.o. is a high-tech company that was established as a start-up at UPJŠ in Košice. Today, this company continues in cooperation with Technology and Innovation Park TIP-UPJŠ, with which it solves two projects. The first project (APVV) is focused on the development of a methodology for the detection of toxic substances dioxane and glyphosate and the second project is focused on the sensitive, selective and rapid detection of various mutations in the coronavirus SARS-Cov-2 (Structural Funds project).

On september 20, 2021, the habilitation of RNDr. Gabriel Žoldák, PhD. from the Center for Interdisciplinary Biosciences, TIP-UPJŠ took place on the premises of the Rectorate. Dr. Žoldák gave a habilitation lecture entitled Laser Optical Tweezers: from discovery to application and then presented the main results of his habilitation thesis entitled "Study of biophysical properties of proteins using laser optical tweezers".
On September 22, 2021, negotiations on a possible cooperation between the Center for Progresive Materials (CPM) and the Goodyear Innovation Center took place on the premises of the Technology and Innovation Park (TIP-UPJŠ).
On 14.-15.09.2021 representatives of Technology and Innovation Park TIP-UPJŠ in Košice participated in the international technology conference SlovakiaTech Forum Expo 2021, which took place in Kulturpark in Košice. One of the speakers at the conference was also the director of TIP-UPJŠ, prof. Pavol Miškovský, where he presented the project Cassovia New Industry Cluster (CNIC) on the topic of Technology meets humanity in the Green evolution block. Prof. Miškovský described the goals, vision of the project and its sustainability, and at the same time explained in detail the symbolism of the CNIC logo.

On August 4, the founding agreements of the Innovation Center of the Košice Region (ICKK) and the Cassovia New Industry Cluster (CNIC) were signed in the mirror hall of the Košice self-governing region, the founders of which are three Košice universities - Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice, Technical University in Košice and University of Veterinary Medicine and Pharmacy in Košice, the City of Košice and the Košice Self-governing region. In July, colleagues from TIP-UPJŠ - Ing. Zuzana Svoreňová, Operations Director and Mgr. On April 21, 2021 the founding members of the CNIC at Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice welcomed a visit from the Ministry of Education, Science, Research and Sports of the Slovak Republic - Minister Branislav Gröhling and State Secretary Ľudovít Paulis, during which they discussed the financing and sustainability of the project Cassovia New Industry Cluster (CNIC).

First of its kind analytical detection system for low concentrations of organic substances in water was introduced by SAFTRA photonics. As the company CEO Pavol Miskovsky said, it is a milestone for the worldwide analytical industry.
