SAFTRA photonics is a Slovak high-tech spin-off company established at the P. J. Šafárik University in Košice in 2014. It is the first spin-off company on the ground of the Faculty of Science P. J. Šafárik University in Košice. The development and the business strategies of the company are based on the research activities of the group led by Pavol Miškovský
The final selection of proposed projects for the Internal Research Grant System of Faculty of Science of Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice (called VVGS PF UPJŠ) for the years 2014 and 2015 took place on 31 March 2014 at the Faculty of Science. Based on critical reviews the commission for VVGS PF UPJŠ decided to provide grant to 26 projects.
