0minút, 59sekúnd

Based on the conclusions of the Commission of the Matej Bel University Academic Senate in Banská Bystrica about the investigation of the suspicion of plagiarism of doctoral dissertations the Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice pronounces that it is a classic case of plagiarism and to this conclusion we do not feel the need of defining plagiarism more specifically. About whether a work is a plagiarism or not, there is an authorized commission which decides, appointed by internal regulations, or more precisely by the statuary of the institution on the base of concordances of the work with the original source.

We fully identify with the “Statement of the management body of the Faculty of Arts of Comenius University in Bratislava in the question of plagiarism”, primarily with its sections considering the negative effects on the reputation of Slovak higher education and about questioning the work of our university teachers and scientific workers. According to the statement of the P. J. Šafárik University in Košice, in the society should not be acceptable the fact people who committed infringement of any intellectual property, are obtaining and working in significant positions in different areas of social life.
