Meeting of CNIC and Tachyum representatives

On October 11, 2021, representatives of Tachyum, Cassovia New Industry  Cluster (CNIC) and the Ministry of Education, Science, Research and Sports of the Slovak Republic met on the premises of TIP-UPJŠ. The meeting was attended by Dr. Radoslav Danilák, co-founder and CEO of Tachyum, Robert Cisár, Business Development Manager of Tachyum, Ing. Slavomír Maťašovský, AI architect Tachyum, prof. RNDr. Pavol Miškovský, DrSc., Chairman of the Board of CNIC, Mgr. Roman Oros, Head of Business and Marketing Department of CNIC, Mgr. Barbora Liptáková, Business Specialist CNIC and Bc. Ivan Drienik, Advisor to the State Secretary of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports of the Slovak Republic.

The main item on the agenda of the meeting was the potential cooperation between Tachyum and CNIC. Prof. Miškovský presented the goals of the CNIC with an emphasis not only on technology transfer, but also effective cooperation with the private sector. Mgr. Oros explained that the CNIC portfolio offers the possibility of sharing research infrastructure with the private sector, the creation of industrial doctorates, human resources from research for innovative projects in the private sector and state aid.

With development centers in Slovakia and the USA, Tachyum develops a high-performance, universal processor chip for data processing, artificial intelligence (AI) and supercomputers (HPC). Tachyum representatives informed CNIC members about the approval of a state-of-the-art supercomputer financing project at national and EU level. If the project is successful, there will be the possibility of replication by other states.
