At the end of September 2023, we have successfully concluded the implementation of the CasProt project, which has significantly contributed to the stabilisation of CIB and its reputation in particular through strengthened collaboration with the partner groups at UZH and TUM. Besides others, the project led to a considerable increase in the impact factor of journals, in which were published works of CIB members, grant applications for multimillion projects, opening new laboratories at CIB, and the establishment of new collaborations with groups at Comenius University and the Neuroimmunology Institute of the Slovak Academy of Sciences in Bratislava (Slovakia), Loschmidt laboratories at Masaryk University in Brno (Czech Republic), the University of Groningen (Netherlands), and the University of Bayreuth (Germany).
