The academic environment has long suffered from a heavy administrative burden and a lack of resources, which has had a significant impact on the effective functioning of the faculty and the collaboration between academic and support staff.
A partial solution to these problems is the digital transformation of the institution – the increased use of digital technologies to improve services, internal processes and interaction with staff or the public. This process involves more than just the introduction of new technologies – it also changes the culture of the institution itself, its management style and its communication.
As part of the digital transformation process, the Faculty of Science at UPJŠ has started to offer regular workshops for administrative staff focusing on key aspects of digital transformation. In the second half of 2024, the meetings were dedicated to the following topics:
- Use of collaborative tools,
- Process automation,
- Cybersecurity,
- Use of generative artificial intelligence tools.
The individual topics were lectured by doc. RNDr. JUDr. Pavol Sokol, PhD. et PhD., Ing. Juraj Majcher a RNDr. Viktor Pristáš.
