UNIPOC Director

She currently works as the director of the University Counselling Centre UNIPOC. She has a master’s degree in psychology and a doctoral degree in Social Psychology and Work Psychology. In addition to managing the centre, she occasionally teaches the subject Career Counseling for Psychologists at the Department of Psychology, Faculty of Arts, UPJŠ.
She is a member of the Council for Counseling and Support Services for Students of the Ministry of Education, Research, Development and Youth of the Slovak Republic. In the past, she served as a member of the board of the Association for Career Counseling and Career Development and was also appointed by the Minister of Education as a member of the Supervisory Board of the Education Support Fund. She collaborated on the preparation of the employment card and qualification “Career Counselor for Adults” and acts as an authorized person for the verification of educational outcomes in this qualification.
She actively participates in international conferences – she attended conferences in Toronto, Vilnius and Washington, D.C. As part of her further education, she completed a training program at the University of Iceland in Reykjavík focused on skills for managing one’s own career, information technology in career guidance and networking. She also visited career centers at the Universities of Oxford, Aberdeen, and Düsseldorf.
She provides individual career guidance (in Slovak and English) and is in charge of organizing career events, such as the Career Day. She focuses on topics such as difficulties in the transition from a university environment to the labor market, preparing a career plan, identifying students’ skills, writing a CV or motivation letter correctly, preparing for an interview and the career of students in European institutions.
She enjoys creative work, collaborating with active students and believes that if a person wants to change something, they must first start working on themselves.
