The endeavour to strengthen international cooperation with foreign law schools and scientific establishments and institutions remains one of the indispensable roles of the Institute. Several partners from the Czech Republic can be mentioned, the cooperation with the Law Faculty of Charles University in Prague, J. E. Purkyně Law Faculty in Brno, the Law Faculty of Palacky University in Olomouc, the Institute of State and Law of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic in Prague, or the Constitutional Court of the Czech Republic in Prague. This cooperation is promoted through joint meetings of Departments of Theory of Law, reciprocal drafting of opponent reviews of doctoral theses or in habilitation and inauguration proceedings, preparation and co-authorship of joint publications, during study stays and exchange of technical literature.
As regards other international cooperation, the Institute collaborates with Polish Law Faculties and Universities, among other the Law Faculty in Lodź, the University in Kraków, the University in Rzeszów, the University in Lublin and the University in Warszawa. Noteworthy is also the cooperation with law schools in Germany, in particular with the Law Faculty of the University in Kiel, the Law Faculty of the University in Regensburg or with Max Planck Institute for Comparative Public Law and International Law. Collaboration with Austrian law schools concerns the Law Faculty of the University in Graz and the Law Faculty of the University in Wien. International institutional cooperation also entails close relations with the Law Faculty of the University in Bologna (Italy), the Catholic University in Brussels (Belgium), the Law Faculty of the University in Lunde (Sweden) and the Law Faculty of the University in Miskolc (Hungary).
