News

Prolongation and Issuance of ID cards 2022/2023

Office hours: MO-FRI  8:30 – 11:30

♦ Extension of student ID cards after 20.9.2021 takes place at the AIO office during office hours.

♦ Application for a  replacement of Student / Employee* ID card

♦ Payments must be made by bank transfer in accordance with the Quaestor’s order. Payment at the cash desk is not possible.

Notice of a reduction in the number of fees for the extension of a full-time student card for the academic year 2020/2021

In case that you have lost your ID card you should have it blocked at AIO office & you should apply for the card duplicate.
You are supposed to activate your ID card at the UNIVERSITY TERMINAL (UT in following text) every academic year.

For students:
Prolong your student card every academic year of your study & enjoy CKM discounts.
Pay your ID card prolongation fee and bring your ID card to the academic year student registration.

For teachers:
Prolong your teacher card every academic year & enjoy CKM discounts. 

How to get an ID card

In order to get your ID card you are supposed to submit the following: 1/ a completed Electronic return shall in Academic information system, 2/ a fee paid.
You will receive your ID card according to info in News on this website.

You can pay in cash at Rectorate UPJŠ, Šrobárova 2, Košice – at the cash desk (at the and of corridor opossite the porter’s room – turn left and look for “POKLADŇA”).

How to use an ID cardadvantages, discounts and the list of contractual partners

ISIC – international student ID card
– UPJŠ library pass – further information at: http://library.upjs.sk/
– an authorized area entry at http://ais.upjs.sk (after having the activation done at the administrator office of Academic Information System at your faculty
– student canteen – ask staff in Cash office at Medicka 6.
– travelling with discount ( local travel, intercity travel and railway travel for students 1st and 2nd study degree under 26 years old) – you can buy a student single ticket or a student monthly ticket after having the activation done at the UT.

Local travel in Kosice: You can buy paper ticket or charge card purchase after activation at UT. Charging places are at www.dpmk.sk – look for “predajne miesta”.
– travelling without discount – you can buy an adult single ticket or an adult monthly ticket after having the activation done at the UT & after the activation done at DPMK (www.DPMK.sk). After activation, you can buy tickets or charge the card purchase.
– CKM (ISIC, ITIC and EURO26  Licence Association) discounts – look at http://www.isic.sk

ZAM – university employee identification card:

– travelling – activate your ZAM card in Rooseveltova or Bardejovská street before using it in DPMK
                 – activate your card in the first used SAD bus or in the headquarters of SAD before use

ITIC – international teacher identification card
– all ZAM card advantages
– CKM discounts – look at https://www.isic.sk – if you wish, you can prolong your card every academic year.

Other cards are the same as the ZAM cards. Differences are just in tariffs.
In case that you have lost your ID card you should have it blocked at AIO office & you should apply for the card duplicate.
The ID card should not be carried in the backside pockets of your trousers. It could be damaged there!

You are supposed to activate your ID card at the UT every academic year.
 

End of an ID card use

You can return your ID card to AIO and/or renew it after graduating.
If you return it to AIO, your card will be stored in the AIO deposit for 5 years.
If you renew it, you can use your ID card for the discounts of contractual partners & ISIC / ITIC (depending on the card), when your card is activated.
You are not allowed to use it for the following: travel discounts, an entry to the university facilities, as a proof of student status.
