Department of Criminal Law – Education

The Department provides compulsory courses, compulsory elective and elective courses. At the present, law courses of the Department are conducted in all levels of university study (bachelor’s, master’s, doctoral) to full-time and part-time students, in the following composition: Compulsory courses: Criminal Substantive Law I, Criminal Substantive Law II, Criminal Procedural Law I, Criminal Procedural Law II, Criminal Law – state examination, Criminal Procedural Law III., Practicum in Criminal Substantive Law. Compulsory elective courses: Criminalistics, Criminology. Elective courses: Penology, International legal assistance in criminal matters, Internship clinic I, Internship clinic II and alternative methods of carrying out sentences. The organization of study with regards to elective courses indicates that the Department highlights the importance of interplay of theory and practice in legal education.
