The Department of Labour Law and Social Security Law provides legal education in all three levels of university study. With regards to bachelor’s degree study programme, the Depart- ment conducts compulsory law courses in the span of three semesters (Labour Law I, Labour Law II and Labour Law III). In addition to compulsory courses, the Department also teaches several compulsory elective courses (Introduction to Anti-Discrimination Law, Protection of Personal Data) and elective courses (Social and Legal protection of the Student, Protection of Health at Work).
Compulsory law courses in the master’s degree study programmes are taught as practical lessons in cooperation with the Department of Civil Law (Practicum in Civil Law and Labour Law). The offer of compulsory elective courses for the students in the master’s degree study programme encompasses (Social Security Law), and as to elective courses (Essentials of Human resources Management for Lawyers, Labour Law Contracts and filings, Labour Law in International institutions). Students interested in taking the final state examination in compulsory elective Labour Law course may do so upon their request. The Department of Labour Law and Social Security Law provides law courses to doctoral students and supervises their work within the related study programme of Civil Law. Currently two full-time students and one part-time PhD student pursue their studies at the Department.
