1minút, 16sekúnd

ASEFInnoLab6 will bring to Košice a discussion on the role of universities in developing skills for an AI-powered future.

Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice, together with the Asia-Europe Foundation (ASEF), will host the sixth edition of the ASEF Higher Education Innovation Laboratory – ASEFInnoLab6, from 2 to 5 December 2025. The event will bring leading experts, academics, and higher education leaders from Asia and Europe to Košice.

It builds on the successful series of laboratories focused on innovation in higher education, organised by ASEF since 2021, and concludes the 2025 cycle of ASEFInnoLab6, which took place in October at Fudan University in Shanghai, and in November at De La Salle University in Manila.

ASEFInnoLab creates a space for developing professional contacts, exchanging knowledge, and jointly building capacity to respond to global challenges. With its thematic focus “The Univesitie´s Role in Developing Skills for an AI-Powered Future”, it offers a unique platform for sharing best practices and fostering collaboration at the intersection of education, research and innovation in the field of AI.

In addition to lectures by experts from UNESCO, EIT Digital, representatives of three ministries, VAIA, and the ASEM Expert Group on Digitalization and AI, participants from 19 countries around the world will present their academic contributions on how universities can shape the development of skills required for a future driven by artificial intelligence technologies. The event also continues its mission to provide academics and university managers with opportunities for education, networking, and partnership building in the field where AI and higher education intersect.
