► General Criteria for PostDoc Position

• PhD or its equivalent reached within the last 5 years (the period is calculated from September 30, 2021 and it does not include maternity and parental leave, civilian military service, military service and other objective obstacles to the professional practice),
• Minimum requirements set out in the call must be met

The application deadline: August 19, 2022

Selection procedure: The candidates will be selected by a committee appointed by the Dean of the Faculty of Science, Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice, based on the assessment of the materials submitted by the candidates.

Expected fellowship start: October 2022

► How to apply

A candidate should submit the following materials via e-mail to the contact person:

• Postdoctoral Fellowship Application Form,
• Concise Curriculum Vitae (max. 5 pages in total),
• Current Qualification (secondary and tertiary education certificates, issued by the degree-granting University and bearing the official seal/s and signatures, to be submitted in the original language accompanied by an official English translation of each document),
• List of principal publications (with ORCID ID or Researcher ID or Scopus Author ID); in case the publications are not registered in the professional databases, please provide relevant bibliographic information,
• An overview of participation in scientific research projects and completed study stays abroad,
• Two recommendation letters from two professors, with only one of the professors being from the candidate′s training center,
• A letter of acceptance from the host professor,
• Research proposal and time plan (max. 5 pages in total including all references/figures/tables), including information on expected number of publications with co-affiliation with Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice in international peer reviewed journals,
• Endorsement of previous practice,
• Criminal record (only accepted applicants).

► What we offer

• A 2 year contract with a possibility of extending up to 12 months,
• € 2000 – 2500 (brutto) monthly salary,
• Medical health insurance coverage is provided for the duration of the fellowship,
• All research costs will be supported by the research group´s budget,
• Support for participation in Meetings and Courses is generally provided by the Group Leader
