Working meeting of SIBILA – APVV-23-0097 project implementers

On October 21, TnUAD hosted the 2nd meeting of the APVV Project (APVV-23-0097) SIBILA, coordinated by Prof. Vladimír Zeleňák from UPJŠ.

The project connects P. J. Šafárik  University in Košice, FunGlass at Trenčín University of A. Dubček, and the University of Veterinary Medicine and Pharmacy in Košice. FunGlass representatives Dr. Zulema Vargas and Dr. Martina Vitázková presented new results on mesoporous SiO₂, SPIONs, and magnetic MBG nanocomposites. Dr. Martin Michálek and PhD students Daniela Jaramillo and Radhika Goyal also took part. UPJŠ representatives prof. Vladimír Zeleňák, Dr. Nikolas Király, Dr. Eva Beňová and PhD student Miratul Alifah.

Dr. Eva Benova had the presentation “Nanoporous Silica Pathways Toward Targeted Antithrombotic Treatment”. Also, PhD student MSc. Miratul Alifah had the contribution “Mesoporous silica as a vehicle for delivery of anticoagulant drugs.”

The meeting focused on reviewing 2025 research progress, coordinating activities, planning sample exchange, financial aspects, and future cooperation.
