On September 26, 2025, the Center for Interdisciplinary Life Sciences (CIB) of the Technology and Innovation Park in Košice (TIP-UPJŠ) participated in the European Science Night festival, which took place in the Optima Shopping Center in Košice.

On Thursday, September 25, 2025, in the Šafárik Chamber in the UPJŠ Rectorate building, the Vice-Rector for International Relations Dr. h. c. prof. Mgr. Slávka Tomaščíková, PhD. received the Fulbright scholarship holder Andersen Herman, accompanied by RNDr. Andrej Mirossay, PhD., Director of the UPJŠ Technology and Innovation Park, where the young researcher will spend the academic year 2025/2026.

Representatives of the Technology and Innovation Park of Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice participated in the largest technology conference in Slovakia this year – SlovakiaTech 2025 in Košice.

This week was in the spirit of events that connect science, innovation and people. The Technology and Innovation Park of Pavol Jozef Šafárik University (TIP-UPJŠ) was also present at the exceptional Brew and View evening, organized by Business Košice.

The “FEBS3+ Meeting: XXVIIIth BIOCHEMISTRY CONGRESS of the Czech and Slovak Societies for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology and with participation of Polish and German Biochemical Societies” with the motto “Unlocking of the Secrets of Life”, took place in Prague at the National Technical Library from 7 to 10 September 2025 on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the founding of the original Czechoslovak Biochemical Society.

At the beginning of September, students from Slovakia and the Czech Republic met at the CIB TIP of Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice to explore – under the guidance of experienced experts – the world of modern protein engineering. The five-day Summer School on Protein Engineering offered them not only specialized lectures but also hands-on experience, including recombinant DNA preparation, protein expression, and protein purification.
