On October 16 and 17, 2025, the Department of Public Law Disciplines at the Faculty of Public Administration organized an international academic conference on the topic “Possibilities for the Use of Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) Mechanisms in Public Administration” in the historic auditorium of Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice. This was the concluding scientific event within the framework of the VEGA project of the same name, No. 1/0505/23, led by Assoc. Prof. JUDr. Martin Vernarský, PhD.
Domestic and international guests from the academic sphere and experts from the practice presented their ideas, opinions, and experiences regarding the use of mediation tools, the application of the institution of conciliation in administrative proceedings, and other techniques aimed at promoting the use of alternative decision-making methods in public administration.
