On December 9, 2025, the Faculty of Public Administration at Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice organized the first edition of a knowledge competition for high school students in the Košice Region titled “Discover the Constitution and Public Administration”
The partners of the competition are the Office of the President of the Slovak Republic, the National Council of the Slovak Republic, and the Constitutional Court of the Slovak Republic, which will arrange visits to their institutions for the entire classes of the winning teams. We thank our partners.
Winners: 1. Súkromné gymnázium, Dneperská 1, Košice, 2. Gymnázium Pavla Horova, Michalovce, 3. Gymnázium Alejová 1, Košice.
The aim of the knowledge contest was to familiarize high school students with a functioning of public administration and raise their constitutional awareness in an engaging way, to raise awareness and understanding of the role, contributions, and current issues facing local government (municipalities, cities, and self-governing regions) in Slovakia. Last but not least, the competition also aims to increase young people’s interest in public affairs at the local, regional, and national levels.
We would like to thank all the participating high school teams, and we are already looking forward to the second annual competition.
