In cooperation with the Košice Children’s Railway, the program “A Day in Nature with the Faculty of Science of UPJŠ” was held on June 4, 2025, at the final station at Alpinka in the Čermeľ Valley. During this event, primary school students had the opportunity to become acquainted with basic chemical experiments and learn about animals, plants, and microorganisms.
Employees and students of the Institute of Chemistry and the Institute of Biology and Ecology prepared fun and educational activities for the young naturalists, such as a rainbow in a cylinder and secret writing. They also explored plants and animals under stereomicroscopes, and fun quizzes were included. The event was full of joy, discovery, and experiences.
We thank the employees and students of the Institute of Chemical Sciences and the Institute of Biological and Ecological Sciences who participated in the program and actively contributed to the popularization of the natural sciences and the promotion of the Faculty of Science of UPJŠ in Košice.
