On 20 May 2019 the Partnership Agreement covering the cooperation between the Department of Germanic Studies of the Faculty of Arts of Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice and VISTA language school was signed by the Dean of the Faculty of Arts of Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice, prof. PhDr. Oľga Orosová, CSc., and the Director of VISTA language school, PhDr. Branislava Očvárová.
The aim of the cooperation is to provide our students of the German Language and Literature programme with the opportunity to develop their teaching and translation practice, exchange experience and obtain consulting. Last but not least, such cooperation enables successful graduates to get a job. In the Slovak labour market, there is a growing demand for good teachers of the German language who are sought in particular by IT companies, corporations, and language centres. The cooperation with VISTA language school also brings our students the opportunity to gain work experience. This experience, along with the high-quality preparation for the future jobs as teachers and translators during the study at the Faculty of Arts of Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice, can help our students improve their chances to be successful in their specific field of specialization.
