For long-lived dutiful work, high professionalism, qualified specialist training and personal contribution to international cooperation leading to the development of Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University was Dr. h. c. doc. Mgr. Slávka Tomaščíková, PhD. awarded the Jubilee Award of “100 Years of Bukovynian Viche” by the Chernivtsi Regional State Administration. Dr. h. c. doc. Tomaščíková collected the award on the 2nd of January 2020 from Assoc. prof. Dr. Sergej Nezhurbida, LL.D., the Head of the Executive Support Service of the Chernivtsi Regional State Administration’s Governor Mr. Sergej Osachuk.
In the discussion with Assoc. prof. Dr. Sergej Nezhurbida, LL.D. and Ms. Hanna Zhebchuk, the Head of the Department of International Cooperation and European Integration of Chernivitsi Regional State Administration Dr. h. c. doc. Tomaščíková summarised the already developed cooperation between UPJŠ and Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University in English philology, law and geography to which the cooperation with the International Office of Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University was very instrumental. She also shared the plans for future activities, mostly with the Department of English Language, Faculty of Foreign Languages, Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University all coordinated by the Head of the Department, Prof. Dr. Nadiia Yesypenko, DrSc.
Dr. h. c. doc. Mgr. Slávka Tomaščíková, PhD. is also, as the editor, the member of the collective of authors of the publication Eugen Ehrlich: Bibliographic Index (Vernon Press, 2018), that was awarded the Chernivtsi Municipality Award of Anton Kokhanovsky. The award for the collective of authors – Sergej Nezhurbida, Mária Diachuk, Manfred Rehbinder and Slávka Tomaščíková – was collected in October 2019 during the Days of Chernivtsi City on behalf of all authors by Ms Mária Diachuk.
