On Monday, 6 October 2025, the Vice-Dean for International Relations, Associate Professor Vladimír Lichner, met with Shakhnoza Mamatova, a PhD scholarship holder of the National Scholarship Programme of the Slovak Republic from Karshi State University in Uzbekistan.
During her five-month research stay, she will be conducting research at the Department of British and American Studies, Faculty of Arts, UPJŠ, where she will focus on the linguistic analysis of lexical borrowings in the field of information and communication technologies.
The Faculty of Arts at Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice maintains a long-standing cooperation with the SAIA agency and actively supports international students and researchers coming to Slovakia.
