RNDr. Ivana Šišoláková, PhD., an associate professor at the Institute of Chemistry, Faculty of Science, P. J. Šafárik University in Košice, received the Award in the Engineering Sciences and Technology category at the 10th anniversary edition of the L’Oréal–UNESCO For Women in Science 2026 program.

More than 250 geographers from Slovakia, Czechia and other countries met in Košice for the 4th Joint Congress of the Czech and Slovak Geographical Societies. The event provided a platform for discussions on contemporary geographical challenges, climate change, regional development and the application of geoinformation technologies in research.
