This year’s Open House programme at the FF UPJŠ was at the Department of British and American Studies opened by a very interesting lecture by Mgr. Barbara Tricoire – Head of the Directorate General Translation Office at the Representation of the European Commission in Bratislava – on the topic “Translation for EU institutions: career opportunities and required skills”.
Not only potential future interpreters and translators but also those interested in studying English and French were able to test their language skills, talk to lecturers and try interpreting in professional interpreting booths in the Platón building. Our students also provided them with all the necessary information about studying at the department and applying for studies.
