On 8 February 2022 the Department of British and American Studies, Faculty of Arts, UPJŠ Košice, hosted the sixth regional round of the English Language Olympiad intended for students of primary and secondary schools. Our 8 teachers, including PhD. students of the Department of British and American Studies participated in this event as chairs of examination boards that tested English speaking skills of 64 competitors in 8 categories after they had successfully completed the written component of the Olympiad.
Due to pandemics we met again only in the virtual environment which worked smoothly thanks to our technician Ing. Marek Sekerák.
First three winners in the secondary schools categories can benefit from their Olympic achievements in admission proceedings for our study programmes.
