The Faculty of Medicine at Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice solemnly welcomed newly admitted first-year students of the bachelor’s and doctoral study programs during the matriculation ceremony held on 13 November 2025 in the Faculty Auditorium.
The matriculation ceremony represents an important milestone in the life of every beginning university student. During this event, new students symbolically become part of the university’s academic community and accept their first obligations associated with university studies.
In his address, the Dean of the Faculty, Prof. MUDr. Peter Jarčuška, PhD., welcomed all matriculated students and emphasized the importance of personal commitment, perseverance, and ethics, which are essential for successfully completing medical education.
We congratulate all matriculated students and wish them a successful, motivating, and inspiring start to their studies. We believe they are entering a period full of new knowledge, challenges, and professional growth.
