The Faculty of Medicine of Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice cordially invites students and colleagues to the Opening Ceremony of the 2025/2026 Academic Year, which will take place on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, at 10:30 AM in the Assembly Hall of the Faculty of Medicine, Trieda SNP 1.
The opening ceremony traditionally provides an opportunity for students, teachers, and other faculty staff to meet together. It also offers a moment to reflect on the achievements of the past year and to present plans and challenges for the months ahead.
The festive program will include:
- a keynote address by the Rector,
- the introduction of new professors, associate professors, and holders of other scientific degrees,
- the announcement of the Rector’s Award laureates in various categories,
- and a performance by the university choir Chorus Universitatis Šafarikianae.
We believe that the Opening Ceremony of the 2025/2026 Academic Year will be an inspiring and motivating beginning for all participants.
Please note that due to this event, classes will be suspended from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
