Little students learned and had fun in the lecture rooms at our Faculty

    While the lecture rooms of the Faculty of Medicine, UPJŠ were empty most of the summer semester because of the situation with the new coronavirus, they were filled with non-traditional students on Tuesday, July 28, 2020. The Faculty blossomed out with children’s laughter, as it was visited by 36 primary school pupils in the frame of the project University without Border, UPJŠ 2020.
    The little students were welcomed by the Vice- Dean assoc.prof. Jozef Firment, M.D., PhD., who briefly told them about the activities of the Faculty of Medicine, which is one of the best educational institutions in the Slovak Republic. The PR manager RNDr. Jaroslava Oravcová, PhD. presented to the children a varied program which awaited them that day and then they went to workplaces, where six interesting activities were prepared for them. They learned how to save a person with severe injuries and unconsciousness, practiced proper dental hygiene, learned about the importance of glucose in the human body, trained in pipetting, searched for the invisible world of bacteria and viruses, and measured body height and waist circumference to learn assumption of how long they will probably live and talk about proper eating and a healthy lifestyle …
