ANNOUNCEMENT OF ELECTIONS TO THE STUDENT SECTION OF THE ACADEMIC SENATE OF UPJŠ
FOR THE INDEPENDENT ELECTORAL DISTRICT
In accordance with the Act on Higher Education Institutions, the Statute of UPJŠ, the Principles of Elections to the Academic Senate of UPJŠ, as amended, and based on Resolution No. 180 of 19 June 2025, the Academic Senate of UPJŠ has announced elections to the Academic Senate of UPJŠ for the term of office 2023–2027.
The elections to the Student Section of the Academic Senate of UPJŠ for the Independent Electoral District at the Faculty of Medicine of UPJŠ will take place on
20 October 2025, from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
in the Seminar Room, UPJŠ Faculty of Medicine, Trieda SNP 1, 040 11 Košice.
Candidate proposals must be submitted in a sealed envelope to the Registry Office of UPJŠ Faculty of Medicine, addressed to: Academic Senate of UPJŠ, Faculty of Medicine, Trieda SNP 1, 040 11 Košice, and marked with “Proposal of Candidate for Membership in the Academic Senate of UPJŠ – Independent Electoral District”. Candidate proposals may be submitted by any member of the Academic Community of UPJŠ. A candidate may also nominate themselves. The proposal must include:
a) first name, surname, academic degrees, and the name of the faculty or other part of UPJŠ where the candidate is employed,
b) for employees: the candidate’s function and job position; for students: the year of study,
c) a written statement of the candidate confirming acceptance of the nomination (not required if the candidate is self-nominated),
d) name, surname, and signature of the proposer(s),
e) consent of the nominated candidate to the processing and publication of personal data to the extent and for the purpose set out in Article 6(4) and Article 7(4–5) of the Principles of Elections to the Academic Senate of UPJŠ; this consent must also be submitted by a self-nominated candidate,
f) the name of the faculty, Rectorate, or university workplace of the proposer.
Only proposals meeting all the requirements in accordance with the Principles of Elections to the Academic Senate of UPJŠ and delivered within the prescribed period to the Registry Office of UPJŠ Faculty of Medicine, Trieda SNP 1, 040 11 Košice, will be accepted.
