ANNOUNCEMENT OF ELECTIONS TO THE STUDENT PART OF THE ACADEMIC SENATE OF UPJŠ
FOR THE JOINT ELECTORAL DISTRICT
The Academic Senate of UPJŠ, in accordance with the Act on Higher Education, the Statute of UPJŠ, and the Principles of Elections to the Academic Senate of UPJŠ in their valid wording, and based on Resolution No. 181 of June 19, 2025, has announced elections to the Academic Senate of UPJŠ for the term 2023 – 2027.
Elections to the student part of the Academic Senate of UPJŠ for the Joint Electoral District at the Faculty of Medicine, UPJŠ, will take place on:
October 20, 2025, from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
in the Seminar Room of UPJŠ Faculty of Medicine, Trieda SNP 1, 040 11 Košice.
Candidate nominations must be submitted in a sealed envelope to the registry of the UPJŠ Rectorate, addressed to the Office of the Academic Senate of UPJŠ, Šrobárova 2, 041 80 Košice, and marked “Candidate Nomination for Member of the AS UPJŠ” for the Joint Electoral District. Nominations may be submitted by any member of the UPJŠ Academic Community. A candidate may also nominate themselves. The candidate nomination must include:
a) Full name, academic titles, and the name of the faculty or other UPJŠ unit where the candidate is employed,
b) For staff: functional and job position; for students: year of study,
c) Written statement from the candidate agreeing to run for election (not required if the candidate nominates themselves),
d) Full name and signature of the nominator(s),
e) Consent of the nominated candidate to the processing and publication of personal data to the extent and for the purpose set out in Article 6, paragraph 4, and Article 7, paragraphs 4 and 5 of the Principles of Elections to AS UPJŠ; this consent is also required from candidates who nominate themselves,
f) Identification of the faculty, Rectorate, or university workplace of the nominator.
Only nominations that meet all the requirements in accordance with the Principles of Elections to the Academic Senate of UPJŠ and are submitted within the specified deadline to the UPJŠ Rectorate registry, Šrobárova 2, 041 80 Košice, will be accepted.
Deadline: October 6, 2025, by 2:00 p.m.
