International Women’s Day, celebrated annually on March 8, is an opportunity to recognize the importance and contribution of women in society, science, healthcare, and education. This day allows us to express respect, gratitude, and admiration to all women whose work, empathy, and dedication help make the world a better place.
At the Faculty of Medicine, Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice, this includes doctors, scientists, teachers, healthcare professionals, students, and all female employees who contribute to the education of future healthcare professionals, the advancement of science, and the provision of healthcare. Their professionalism, compassion, and daily commitment are an essential part of the faculty’s life as well as of society as a whole.
