The Academic Senate of Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice, Faculty of Medicine (hereinafter “UPJŠ FM”), pursuant to Resolution No. 161 of 18 March 2026 and in accordance with Section 22(2) of Act No. 131/2002 Coll. on Higher Education Institutions and on Amendments to Certain Acts, as amended, Article 31(4) of the Statute of Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice, Faculty of Medicine, and Article 1(1) of the Principles for the Election of a Candidate for the Position of Dean of Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice, Faculty of Medicine,

the election of a candidate for the position
of Dean of Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice, Faculty of Medicine,
to be held on 12 May 2026.
In accordance with Article 2 of the Principles for the Election of a Candidate for the Position of Dean of Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice, Faculty of Medicine, members of the academic community of UPJŠ FM, have the right to nominate a candidate for Dean of Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice, Faculty of Medicine.
Each nomination of a candidate for Dean of UPJŠ FM must include:
a) the name, surname, academic titles, scientific degree, and functional and job position of the candidate,
b) the name, surname, academic titles, and signature of the proposer(s).
The nomination must be accompanied by the following documents bearing original signatures:
a) a written statement by the nominated candidate confirming consent to the nomination,
b) a structured curriculum vitae of the nominated candidate (maximum 4 standard pages),
c) a brief programme outline (maximum 4 standard pages) in electronic form,
d) the proposer’s consent to the publication of their name, surname, and other identification data contained in the nomination of the candidate for the position of Dean,
e) the candidate’s consent to the publication of their name, surname, and other identification data contained in the nomination of the candidate, including the content of its attachments and personal data contained therein.
The nomination with attachments shall be submitted to the Secretariat of the Academic Senate of UPJŠ FM, Trieda SNP 1, 040 11 Košice, to the registry office of UPJŠ FM, in a sealed envelope marked “Nomination of a Candidate for Dean of UPJŠ FM”
no later than 5 May 2026 by 02:00 pm.
