The European Higher Education Area (EHEA) is a representative organization of universities – the European University Association (EUA), which also deals with quality assurance and participates in the creation of internal quality systems. Cooperation between European universities in the field of quality assurance is covered by the European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ENQA), which supports cooperation in the field of quality assurance in higher education based on the implementation of ESG 2015. It disseminates information and expertise seminars.
The World Federation for Medical Education (WFME) WFME publishes international best practice Global Standards for Quality Improvement of Medical Education, covering Basic Medical Education, Postgraduate Medical Education, Continuing Professional Development of Medical Doctors, and Distributed and Distance Learning in Medical Education. WFME works with doctors, educators and universities worldwide through its six member regional associations. WFME was established in 1972 by the World Medical Association (WMA) and the World Health Organization (WHO), which are members of the WFME Executive Council, along with the six regional associations for medical education, the International Federation of Medical Student Associations (IFMSA), Junior Doctors Network (JDN), Intealth™, and the Association for Medical Education in Europe (AMEE).
The Association for Medical Education in Europe (AMEE), is a global organization dedicated to improving health professions education. Founded in 1972, it has expanded far beyond Europe, bringing together members from more than 90 countries. Its annual AMEE Conference is one of the largest international gatherings of medical educators, with thousands of participants attending workshops, symposia, and presentations. AMEE also publishes Medical Teacher, a leading journal in the field that shares research and best practices. To support professional growth, the association offers development programs such as the Essential Skills in Medical Education (ESME) courses. AMEE strongly emphasizes innovation, collaboration, and the improvement of global standards in medical education. Its initiatives prepare health professionals to meet the changing needs of patients and society. Today, AMEE is recognized as a leading voice in shaping the future of health professions education worldwide.



In Slovakia, in cooperation with the Slovak Accreditation Agency for Higher Education (SAAVŠ), professional seminars are organized with the aim of developing and sharing best practices and supporting the implementation of ESG 2015 in the internal quality assurance and verification system at universities and colleges in the Slovak Republic.
