Dear future medical students,
We are excited to welcome you to the Orientation Days 2026 at the UPJŠ Faculty of Medicine. This two-day event will help you start your studies with confidence, support and a sense of belonging to our academic community.
9 September – Join the informal programme
Although the official programme for English-language study programmes will take place on 10 September, we warmly invite you to join us already on 9 September for the informal part of Orientation Days.
You can look forward to:
a friendly social programme with goulash and networking,
hands-on booths presented by student associations, departments and clinical institutes,
Medtalks LIVE, a discussion with students and graduates,
the opportunity to meet your future classmates and senior students.
The informal programme is open to all first-year students, including General Medicine (GM) and Dental Medicine (DM), and offers a relaxed start to your journey at the faculty.
10 September – Official programme for English-language study programmes
On 10 September, we will meet in front of the Auditorium at 8:45 AM for the official Orientation Day programme.
During the day, you will receive:
essential information about your study programme and the organization of studies,
a guided tour of the faculty with Big Brothers & Big Sisters,
a visit to the Center for Simulation and Virtual Medicine.
Orientation Days are organized by the Student Section of the Academic Senate of the UPJŠ Faculty of Medicine, in cooperation with the Spolok medikov mesta Košice (SMMK), the Slovak Association of Dental Students (SSŠZL) and the UPJŠ Faculty of Medicine in Košice.
