CHRISTENHUSZ M.J.M. (2007): Dracoglossum, a new Neotropical fern genus (Pteridophyta). – Thaiszia – J. Bot. 17: 1-10.

Abstract: The new genus Dracoglossum is proposed and described here. It is distinguished from Tectaria, based on morphology of spores and venation. Two new combinations (D. plantagineum and D. sinuatum) are established. In the first part some nomenclatural issues are clarified.

KRICSFALUSY V. & BUDNIKOV G. (2007): Threatened vascular plants in the Ukrainian Carpathians: current status, distribution and conservation. – Thaiszia – J. Bot. 17: 11-32.

Abstract: To preserve threatened vascular plants in the Ukrainian Carpathians the regional Red List is presented. It is completed on the basis of field research data of authors, numerous Ukrainian and foreign herbarium collections, critical review of literary data which include information on the regional flora. The Red List totals 425
taxa belonging to 238 genera and 71 families. Their place in Red Data Books of different levels and International legislative documents are shown. Analysis of distribution of threatened plant species within the systematic, chorology and administrative units as well as within the categories of protection is given. Data on the structure and distribution of endemic phytogene pool are given. List of new and forgotten taxa and taxa whose occurrence in the flora of the region needs to be confirmed are given.

LUKASH O. (2007): Distribution, cenotic characteristic and protection of habitats of plants of the Bern Convention in East Polesye. – Thaiszia – J. Bot. 17: 33-58.

Abstract: The author reports on the results of the studies on distribution, cenotic characteristic and analysis of protection of habitats of plants of the Bern Convention in East Polesye. In 1995– 2006 the species of plants, which are given in the list of Appendix I of “Convention on the Conservation of European Wildlife and Natural Habitats” were identified in this region. On quantity of sites in the studied region and geographical distribution the Bern Convention plants of East Polesye are divided in very rare (forest species Botrychium multifidum and Cypripedium calceolus), rare (forest-marsh species Ostericum palustre) and rather rare (forest species Pulsatilla patens, water species Salvinia natans and Trapa natans). The maps of distribution of rare species are represented. The floristic structure of the plant communities with participation of these species is documented.

KUNDU, S. R. (2007): A compendium of Brassicaceae in Indian subcontinent: Its distribution and endemism – Thaiszia – J. Bot. 17:
59-95.

Abstract: A preliminary checklist of Brassicaceae Burnett (nom. cons.) or Cruciferae Adans (nom. cons. et nom. alt.) in Indian subcontinent has been prepared on the basis of primary observations of different taxa belonging to this family in wild habitats and on secondary observations based on examining herbarium specimens and taxonomic literature. On the Indian subcontinent (comprising Bangladesh, Bhutan, Myanmar, Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and India), the family Brassicaceae is poorly represented (8.88%).The present paper deals with distribution, phytoendemism, possible fossil ancestry, potential, survival threat on existing taxa etc. of Brassicaceae in Indian subcontinent. For better understanding of the species dynamics of Brassicaceae in Indian subcontinent, the present status of phytoendemism has been compared to the data of previous investigations done in nineteenth century.
