On 10 May 2026, UPJŠ colleagues enjoyed a full-day hiking adventure in the breathtaking Slovak Paradise National Park. The event was organized by the Institute of Physical Education and Sport of UPJŠ, with the participation of the UPJŠ Euraxess Welcome Office, which encouraged the participation of international staff members.
The group set out on a scenic yet demanding route featuring wet metal platforms suspended above gorges, ladders alongside waterfalls, and sections leading directly through streambeds. Despite the physical challenge, participants were rewarded with spectacular views and the unique natural beauty that makes Slovak Paradise one of Slovakia’s most iconic destinations.
Throughout the hike, a friendly and relaxed atmosphere prevailed. Colleagues had the chance not only to enjoy nature but also to connect informally, exchange experiences, and strengthen relationships across departments and cultures. Short breaks along the trail naturally turned into moments of networking and community building.
The event successfully combined outdoor activity, international engagement, and team spirit — offering participants a refreshing day outside the academic environment and reinforcing UPJŠ’s commitment to creating a welcoming and inclusive community.
