My research stay at Pavol Jozef Šafárik University (UPJŠ) in Košice, Slovakia, from April to August 2026, through the National Scholarship Programme (NŠP), was a rewarding and memorable experience. As a PhD student from SGH Warsaw School of Economics in Poland, this mobility provided a valuable opportunity to work on my doctoral dissertation.
From the beginning, I felt warmly welcomed by the university community. I am particularly grateful to Associate Professor Silvia Ručinská for her kindness, guidance and continued support throughout my stay. Her helpfulness made a meaningful difference to my experience.
The university provided me with a comfortable office space where I could concentrate on my academic work. I also appreciated being invited to university activities, which helped me feel part of the academic community and made my stay more engaging and enjoyable.
My time at UPJŠ contributed to both my academic development and personal growth. I sincerely thank my supervisor, the university staff, SAIA and the NŠP for their support and for making this opportunity possible. I would warmly recommend UPJŠ to researchers seeking a welcoming and supportive environment for an international research stay.
