Celebration of Children’s Day with a theatre performance

2minút, 32sekúnd

We would like to thank the performers of the National Theatre in Košice for an exceptional cultural experience that will long remain in the memories of children and adults alike. A group photo of the children with the actors and musicians on stage after the performance, along with subsequent individual photos will also serve as a reminder of a pleasant afternoon.

Thanks also go to the UPJŠ Student Dormitories and Canteens, which prepared packages full of goodies for the children, and brought smiles on their faces.

UPJŠ in Košice also made it possible for homeless children cared for by the Oáza civic association in Bernátovce to experience these special moments. The University has been cooperating with this association since last year and helps people in need in many different ways.

And that is exactly what it was.

Orchestríček opera drew the entire audience into the story of two brothers, Tom and El, who, together with the children, were discovering the magic of musical instruments and opera singing. The interactive performance combined music, movement, emotions, and entertainment, with the children playing an important role in helping to revive a destroyed book about musical instruments. Together with the orchestra members and a pair of cheerful entertainers, they mastered this challenge with ease. Several of the children gladly accepted the challenge to perform on stage and imitate playing a musical instrument, for which they received a sweet reward. The dynamic performance also included the participation of both young and old audience members, who enthusiastically imitated the orchestra members and even attempted to assist in singing an aria with an opera diva…
