The Institute of Physical Education and Sport invites all university employees to participate in the cycling event “Autumn Cycling 2025”, offering a scenic ride and an optional wine tasting experience.
Date: Saturday, 6 September 2025
Meeting Point: 7:00 AM in front of the Rectorate of UPJŠ in Košice (Kostlivého Street entrance)

Optional Wine Tasting
Participation Fee: €24 per person (covers wine tasting)
Included in the tasting:
- Eight wine samples, including Tokaj Aszú wines
- A specialty homemade Unicum “Tibicum”
- Light refreshments: pagáče and salty snacks
Location: A three-story wine cellar in Hungary (outdoor tasting if the group is large; cellar will be open for viewing)
Participation in the tasting is optional. Those who choose not to attend will not pay the fee but must wait for the group during the tasting.
Transport and Bicycle Information
Free bus transport is provided for university staff, courtesy of the Rectorate.
The bus includes a trailer for up to 25 bicycles (maximum tire width: 2.25”).
Please note: Minor scratches may occur during loading. We recommend using bicycles that do not have high collector value.
If all 29 participant spots are filled, 4 bicycles will need to be disassembled and stored in the bus luggage compartment. Volunteers willing to assist are asked to notify us in advance. Otherwise, the limit of 25 bicycles will apply.
