Pursuant to Section 78 of Act No. 131/2002 Coll. on Higher Education Institutions and on Amendments and Supplements to Certain Acts as amended, based on a proposal by Prof. Mgr. Renáta Panocová, Dean of the Faculty of Arts at UPJŠ in Košice, PhD., and after approval by the Scientific Board of UPJŠ in Košice, on May 23, 2025, the rector of UPJŠ in Košice, Prof. MUDr. Daniel Pella, PhD., awarded the honorary title of “professor emeritus” to:
prof. PaedDr. Štefanovi Šutajovi, DrSc.

UPJŠ Rector Daniel Pella presented the appointment decree “professor emeritus” to Professor Štefan Šutaj during the meeting of the Scientific Board of UPJŠ, which took place on October 3, 2025, in the Historical Auditorium. During his tenure at UPJŠ, Professor Šutaj achieved significant successes and contributed to the development of science and education at our university.
