The Rector of Pavol Jozef Šafárik University hereby announces a call for submission of research topics for filling positions of talented young researchers
The creation of positions for talented young researchers stems from the University’s intention to promote the development of scientific research, ensure the career development of young researchers, and support and retain talented graduates of doctoral studies at Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice, in accordance with the objectives and principles of the Human Resources Strategy for Researchers at Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice.
Positions of talented young researchers are filled on the basis of:
– the Call of the Rector of Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice for Submission of Research Topics for Filling Positions of Talented Young Researchers; and
– the Call of the Rector of Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice for Filling Positions of Talented Young Researchers.
The number of positions to be created is determined by the Rector of Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice, based on the specific call, separately for positions in the fields of medical and natural sciences and for positions in the fields of social sciences and humanities.
Positions of talented young researchers are filled for a period of one year, with the possibility of extending the employment relationship for an additional 12 months.
An applicant for a position of talented young researcher:
– is a graduate of a doctoral study programme offered by one of the faculties of Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice and completed their doctoral studies no more than two academic years prior to the academic year in which the Rector’s Call for Submission of Research Topics for Filling Positions for Talented Young Researchers is announced;
– achieved excellent results and/or received awards during their doctoral studies;
– meets the requirements specified for the respective research topic.
