On Thursday, 17 April 2025, a festive meeting was held at the premises of Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice on the occasion of the completion of the five-year term of office of five members of the Board for Internal Quality Verification. Prof. MUDr. Daniel Pella, PhD., the Rector of the University, personally presented each member with a written acknowledgement and expressed his sincere appreciation for their professional and responsible work, which significantly contributed to the building and development of the quality verification system at UPJŠ.
The term of office expires on 30 April 2025, and although the composition of the Board has changed several times, these five members have served continuously for the entire period:
– prof. Ing. Mária Mareková, CSc. (Faculty of Medicine) – Chairperson of the Board for Internal Quality Verification
– doc. RNDr. Zuzana Ješková, PhD. (Faculty of Science)
– prof. RNDr. Ľubomír Kováč, CSc. (Faculty of Science)
– doc. PhDr. Beata Gajdošová, PhD. (Faculty of Arts)
– doc. Mgr. Iveta Jeleňová, PhD. (Faculty of Public Administration)
In his speech, the Rector appreciated their contribution:
“I would like to sincerely thank you for your work, your expertise, but also for the constructive approach and responsibility in your work. Thanks to you, the internal quality system at our University has become a solid part of academic life and an important tool for the further development of our institution,” said prof. MUDr. Daniel Pella, PhD.
The Board for Internal Quality Verification plays a key role in the system of verification and improvement of the quality of education, science, and research. Over the past five years, the members of the Board have actively participated in the development of internal regulations, the assessment of study programmes, and the evaluation of the quality of academic activities at the University.
The members of the Board also took the opportunity to thank the University for the opportunity to be part of this strategic body of the University. They expressed their gratitude for the trust the University had placed in them and appreciated the constructive working environment as well as the professional dialogue that had prevailed during their time on the Board.
