Scholars at Risk (SAR) is an international network of more than 500 member institutions and thousands of individuals working to protect vulnerable universities, academics and students. Pavel Jozef Šafárik University in Košice also became a member. Scholars at Risk helps more than 350 scientists every year, provides refugee positions at partner universities for scientists unable to work safely in their home country, provides advice and recommendations, and organizes the release of scientists in prison.
