Vice-Rector for International Relations, professor Slávka Tomaščíková, PhD., and Vice-Rector for Internationalization, associate professor Silvia Ručinská, PhD., University Professor, received on Monday, 29 April 2024 afternoon at the UPJŠ Rector’s Office the Portuguese Ambassador to Slovakia, H.E. Marie João Lopes Cardoso.
The representatives of the UPJŠ management and the Ambassador discussed the existing cooperation of UPJŠ departments with Portuguese universities and the possibilities of joint activities with the Embassy of the Portuguese Republic in Slovakia.
“The Ambassador’s visit to our University opens new opportunities for our students and colleagues to get involved in various initiatives that will bring real results in the field of our internationalisation,” said Vice-Rector Tomaščíková.
“I am glad that the Ambassador was interested in the idea of possible cooperation between UPJŠ and Portuguese universities in the field of interculturality and diversity, in which Portugal has extensive experience. This is an important topic in society and for the university environment in particular,” said Vice-Rector Ručinská.
